KAMPALA – NIC holdings limited, one of the leading providers of insurance and financial services in Uganda on Thursday announced its partnership with the She Cranes becoming the team’s official partner.
This comes days after She Cranes were crowned African champions in Lusaka-Zambia, where they successfully defended the crown they had won last year.
The managing director NIC holdings Mr Elias Edu revealed that their partnership with She Cranes will cover emergency medical expenses, legal fees and medical transportation.
“We have been the number one corporate supporter of Netball Uganda for over 30 years, said Edu.
“This is a next step in line with our community development program through Sports.
He also congratulated the team on the recent victory in African netball championships.
The 1250000 Euros about Shs 542m travel health insurance sponsorship will also cover all players, coaching staff and team doctor.
She Cranes patron Dr Sarah Nkonge thanked NIC holdings for supporting the team and also called upon companies to support the sport.
NIC insurance is also an official sponsor of the Uganda Cranes.
