With just a few weeks to the start of the 2018/2019 Uganda Premier League (UPL) season, various top flight clubs are continuing their preparations.
Almost all clubs are still playing preseason games including 1st runners ups KCCA FC.
The Kasasiro Boys will on Wednesday play host to Mbarara City in yet another preseason friendly match that will be used as a weighing scale for the two side.
Mbarara City Football Club’s most expensive asset, Paul Mucureezi is expected to make an emotional early return to his former club, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) when the two sides square off.
Mucureezi was a Kasasiro Boy from 2015 and left at the back end of last season after negotiations over contract extension fell through.
KCCA, fresh from their 1-0 win at home against West Nile side Onduparaka will also continue testing out new recruits such as Mike Sulaiman Mutyaba, Musa Esenu, Allan Kyambadde, Bernard Muwanga, Nicholas Kasozi, among others.
After this build up, Mike Mutebi’s charges will switch attention to the third edition of the Phillip Omondi tournament that will run for Friday and Saturday.
