LUGOGO – KCCA FC registered their third league victory of the season thanks to 2-0 victory at home to Bright Stars on Tuesday.
Filbest Obenchan and Patrick Kaddu scored in either halfs for the Kasasiro boys to condem Bright stars the first loss of the season.
Obenchan scored in the 17th minute to put Mike Mutebi side in the lead.
Bright stars missed a glorious opportunity to equalise in the 27th minute when Nelson Senkatuuka put the ball into Charles Lukwago’s hands while one on one with the custodian.
The half Time whistle came with the hosts leading and In the second half KCCA piled more pressure In search for another goal and they scored through substitute Patrick Kaddu who came on for Muwadda Mawejje.
Bright stars made a few changes by bringing John Opeyo on for Farouk Katongole but the defence for KCCA denied them the chance to score.
Mike Mutyaba came on for Muzamiru Mutyaba but he got injured minutes after he entered and then replaced by Jackson Nunda.
While talking to the press KCCA head coach Mike Mutebi was impressed with the performance of his team and the way they played compared to when they visited Onduparaka.
“Am happy with the way my boys possessed the ball in both halves. said Mutebi
He added that the boys were in charge of the ball compared to when they played Onduparaka away in Arua.
“Today my boys took control of the ball compared to when we played the Arua boys. Continued Mutebi.
Bright stars head coach was not happy with the way his side played but he promised to make a few changes to correct the mistakes he did in Lugogo
“Am not happy by how my boys played, they gave so much respect to KCCA. Said Kajoba
“We didn’t play well in the first half and am going to go back in Mwererwe and correct the mistakes.
KCCA play Mbarara City in their next match while Bright Stars make a visit to Arua to play Onduparaka
