NAMBOOLE – Record league champions SC Villa will be eying their first three points of the season when they host Onduparaka FC at the Mandela National Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Moses Basena’s men played out a 2-2 draw away to Kirinya JSS on match day one, a game that left most of their faithful hurting after Villa conceded a late goal to relinquish all three points.
Villa had license issues in the first game where seven of their players were deemed ineligible to feature. News coming in suggests that the club have sorted most of the issues but it remains to be seen whether those players will feature.
For Onduparaka, they got off to a good start on Friday, winning 2-0 at home to Nyamityobora and they will be hoping to add to their early season’s tally when they take on Villa.
Match Facts:
There has never been a draw in any of the four league fixtures between the two sides.
Onduparaka have lost all their two visits to Villa in the league including a 4-1 defeat in the reverse fixture last season.
The Caterpillars are on a three-match losing streak against the 16-time record league champions currently.
SC Villa are on a terrible run of form currently. They have not won any of their last seven competitive fixtures (D4 L3). Their last victory dates back to 02-05-2018 when they defeated Kirinya JSS 2-0.
At home, SC Villa have won five of their last nine games in all competitions (D2 L2).
The visitors have been average away from home, winning four, drawing one and losing the other four old their last nine fixtures.
