
Bright Stars moved second on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League thanks to a 3-0 win over Ndejje University at the Arena of Visions in Bombo.
Dan Bilikwalira who missed Bright Stars’ last game due to broken teeth, put the visitors ahead on 28 minutes.
Six minutes later, Juma Ssebaduka made it 2-0 with his first goal of the season and ensured that Fred Kajoba’s side go into half time with a two goal caution.
With 19 minutes to play in the second half, Kokas Opeja made the points safe for the visitors with the third of the game.
The victory means that Bright Stars climb into second on the log with 14 points from seven games, only a point behind leaders KCCA FC (15).
The three goals scored mean Fred Kajoba’s side have now scored a league high 13 goals, conceding only 6.
For Ndejje, they slip into 11th on the log with six points accumulated having won two, drawn one and lost five games this season.
In Jinja, Bul FC played out a goalless draw with URA FC at the Njeru Technical Center.
Bul came into the game seated 2nd on the log but could not break through a resilient URA side that have now gone seven games.
The draw was URA’s fourth consecutive and fifth of the season. Sam Simbwa’s side move up to 7th on the table with 11 points from seven games.
For Bul, they slip into third with 14 points.
At Wankulukuku, Kirinya JSS condemned Nyamityobora to a fifth league loss of the season thanks to a 1-0 result.
Nelson Mandela scored the only goal of the game on 32 minutes to hand the visitors a second victory of the season.
Victory sees the Jinja based side climb into 9th on the table with 9 nine points while Nyamityobora remain 13 with only four points.
