WANKULUKUKU – Express FC registered their first home victory of the season thanks to a 2-0 victory over Tooro United on Wednesday afternoon.
The Red Eagles went into the game as the only side that was still yet to score a goal at home, something that is not usually attributed to them.
Head coach Kefa Kisala was quick to praise his players for the performance they exhibited in the victory.
“I have to give credit to the players, they have exhibited a good game today (Wednesday), said Kisala.
“We are well aware that when you win they praise you and if you don’t, it’s different but we will take the praises for now.
“The game was beautiful and my players exhibited great discipline and character.
“My prayer is that they don’t lose focus because this is a marathon.
“We all need to remain focused because there are still so many games to go.

During the win over Tooro, Express created a host of goalscoring chances but wasted most of them.
When asked about his side’s wastefulness in front of goal, the former Bul FC tactician had this to say;
“We were just unfortunate not to win by a bigger margin but a win is a win.
“I am not concerned about the chances wasted because when a team is creating but not scoring as many as they should then it is easy to correct so it’s good we are creating many chances at the moment.
“We are going to continue trying to improve our last touch to try and be more clinical in from of goal.
Express has so far scored six goals in the league this season with only two coming at Wankulukuku.
The victory at home to Tooro pushed them as high as sixth on the table with 8 points from thier first 5 games.
For Tooro, they slip into 12th with four points.
Express’s next fixture is away to Paidah on Saturday while Tooro host Onduparaka FC.
