LUGOGO – On Saturday, two more foreign based players joined the Uganda Cranes team training ahead of the AFCON qualifier game against Cape Verde.
Denis Iguma and Joseph Ochaya are the foreign players that joined the team in the morning training session at Lugogo.
This was the team’s second training session before they enter residential camp on Monday.
The session involved ball work, body stretching drills under head coach Sebastian Desabre, his assistant Mathias Lule and and trainer Gerome D’Antonio.
Speaking to the press after training Kazma Sporting club’s Denis Iguuma said that the players are in good shape and ready to play Cape Verde come Saturday 17th.
“All the players are in good shape and we are all prepared to take on Cape Verde, Iguma said.
He also added that his dream is to see Uganda qualify for AFCON come next year.
“We are yearning to represent our country in next years’ AFCON , so we are going to do the possible” Iguma added.
Team captain Denis Onyango and other players are expected to jet into the country before Tuesday next week.
