
NAKAWA – URA Football Club on Thursday launched a new club secretariat at their new head offices in Nakawa.
The event was graced by FUFA third Vice President and Hon. Minister of State for Youth and Child Affairs,Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi who stood in for FUFA President, Eng Moses Magogo.
While addressing the media, Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi thanked the four time Uganda Premier League winners for standardizing the club’s set-up.
“Five months ago, FUFA embarked on the FUFA Club Pro Agenda with the view of standardizing the progression of the club. I am glad to announce that all the 16 teams went through the Pro Agenda training and I am happy to know that URA was one of the best during the training” said Nakiwala
The Honourable also added that FUFA is proud of URA for getting offices.
“Most outstanding was to ensure that it gets an office, the purpose is to see that the office is utilized for the proper accountability for all financial constraints. Football is a five man’s team and i would wish to re-echo from FUFA that we are so proud of URA FC”. She added.

During the event, club Chairman James Kizza thanked FUFA thanked Magogo for the guidance in the club’s setup.
“I would like to extend our appreciation to the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) and President Eng. Moses Magogo for the guidance in setting up a football club secretariat at URA FC. It is through your tireless efforts to build capacity through football human resource that this goal has been achieved” Kizza said.
The Clubs CEO Ivan Kakembo introduced his team that include Paul Muwanika, Bridget Nakayenga (Marketing and Administration), Ismail Kakaire (Events and Management), Adam Kakira (Office Assistant) and Nuwagira Racheal (Personal Assistant to CEO).
URA have only managed 14 points, with only two wins and eight draws and sit in the 9th place in the ongoing StarTimes Uganda Premier league.
