SC Villa vs Kirinya JSS
Mandela National Stadium, Namboole
Wednesday, 06-03-2019 @7:30pm
NAMBOOLE – After taking 7 out of a possible 12 points at the start of the second round, SC Villa have dipped in form of late as they are currently winless in their last three.
The 4-2 loss away to KCCA FC in their last game ensured that Douglas Bamweyana’s side have taken only two points from their last three games, drawing 1-1 with both Bul and Police in the build up to their game away to the Kasasiros.
The tie at home to Kirinya JSS is one that the Jogoos will be hoping to get maximum points from on Wednesday evening. It being a flood-lights’ game, it promises to be a thrilling spectacle on the eye and hopefully that is the case on the field of play.
Mugisa Albert, Kiggundu Moses, David Owori and John Adriko have all returned to the fold which will be a major boost for the Jogoos.
Coming up against the Students will be tough for Villa, especially after the Jinja based side have won all of their last two games.
Kirinya defeated Nyamityobora 2-1 last time out, four days after they had downed Mbarara City by the same score line.
However, both of those victories came at home and with their away from worrying as they have picked only a single point out of a possible 15 on the road, Kirinya should have some concerns.
Match Facts:
This will be the 6th ever competitive meeting between the two sides.
In the first 5, Villa have won two, lost one with the other two ending in stalemates.
This fixture has not seen an away victory in history but Villa have won all the two games they have hosted, scoring four goals and conceding none.
The reverse game last season ended in a 2-0 victory for the Jogoos while when the two sides met in the first round, the match ended 2-2.
