KAVUMBA – Mbarara City will make the trip to Kavumba to face Tooro United in one of the games on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League menu on Saturday.
The Ankole Lions who had a brilliant start to the season are currently occupying fourth place on the standings with 42 points, four points behind URA who sit in third.
In their last two games, Mbarara City lost away match to SC Villa 2-1 during the night game played under floodlights before recovering to hold Vipers to a 0-0 draw at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara.
Head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi, his assistant Baker Kasule and the rest of the technical team will target nothing but maximum points if they are to displace URA in the third, before the season closes.
Goalkeeper Muhammed Ssekebba who was in the goal posts against Vipers is expected to maintain his slot as first choice, Ali Kimera is suspended by the club. Team captain Hilary Mukundane and talisman Paul Mucureezi remain sidelined because of injury.
Ivan Eyam, Jude Ssemugabi, Ibrahim Orit, Pistis Barenge, Ronnie Kiseka, Zaidi Byekwaso and Wol Makueth are their key players.
On the other hand, Tooro United who are currently sixth with 39 points will play at Kavumba after confirming to the league managers. They have also previously played their home games at Buhinga and Wankulukuku Stadia.

Despite moving from one home ground to another, Tooro United have always been strong at home this season and will be no pushovers for Mbarara City.
They have goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Baker Buyala and Allan Kayiwa as the key players.
Match Facts:
This will be the fourth top-flight meeting between the two sides since Mbarara made their latest return to the top tier in 2017.
In the first three meetings, two have ended in draws with Mbarara winning the other 1-0. Mbarara’s victory came in the two sides’ first meeting this season.
Last season, both games between the two ended goalless.
Toor United go into the game having lost only one of their last six League games (W3 D2).
At home, Tooro are unbeaten in their last 12 League games (W8 D4).
For Mbarara, they come into the game on a four-game winless run, losing one and drawing the other three games.
Away from home, the Ankole Lions have won only one of their last 8 League games (D4 L3).
