KAMPALA – Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club playmaker Allan Okello has departed the country for trails in a yet to be identified country.
The youngster becomes the second KCCAF FC player to go out on trials this close season, following in the footsteps of Mustapha Kizza.
Kizza who plays as a wing-back, left for Spain at the start of the month but it is reported that he is back in the country.
While in Spain, Kizza is understood to have played three build-up games with top tier side Real Valladolid.
Whether the trails were a success, it remains to be seen in the near future.
For Okello, he departed the country on Friday night via Nairobi Kenya at the Jomo Kenyata International Airport.
Okello has for long been tipped to make a high profile transfer but somehow, had failed to take the next step in what promises to be a long and industrious career.
The former Kibuli SS player has been at KCCA since making his debut in 2016. In the just-ended season, Okello scored six goals including one in KCCA’s last game of the season as they defeated Maroons 6-1.
Over the past three seasons, KCCA has exported a number of players.
