ZURICH/SWITZERLAND – KCCA FC attacking midfielder Allan Okello is understood to be in Switzerland as he hopes to secure a move to FC Zurich.
The 20 year old departed the country in the wee hours of Sunday morning and will hold week-long trails with the Switzerland Super League side.
Okello had a stop-over at Aturtuk Airport, Istanbul in Turkey at 9:30 AM before setting off by noon to Zurich where he touched down at 2:20 pm and was received by the Sporting Director/Chief Scout Adamson Fahad.
If the trails are a success, Okello will complete the move at a fee expected to be around $1m.
In the past few weeks, Okello has been training with both the AFCON and COSAFA bound Uganda Cranes squads. He was allowed to leave the COSAFA camp last week and will not be part of the championships in South Africa.

A KCCA FC academy graduate, Okello has impressed throughout his two full seasons at the 13 time Uganda Premier League champions.
He has featured prominently for KCCA FC in CAF competitions including the Champions League and Confederations Cup.
It is believed that it was in those two competitions that Okello caught Zurich’s eye and invited him for the trails.
Okello is expected to start training on Monday, 27th May 2019. He will also play two trial matches on 29th and 31st May before returning to Uganda on 1st June 2019.
Okello becomes the second KCCA FC player to depart for trails in Europe in the current off-season.
A month ago, Left-back Mustapha Kizza had trails at Spanish top tier side Rayo Vallecano which did not work out.

Kizza returned to Uganda and was named one of KCCA’s captains for the upcoming season.
