
LUGOGO – Barely two days after he was dropped, Express winger Michael Birungi has been recalled to the Uganda Cranes COSAFA bound team.
It was learnt on Monday night, that Birungi and three others had been axed from the team currently training at Lugogo.
However, following two injuries in the camp, the 28 year old has been asked to return instantly along with striker Daniel Isiagi.
SC Villa’s Bashir Mutanda and URA FC defender Patrick Mbowa are the two players that will be replaced after suffering injuries.

Uganda was invited to take part in this year’s COSAFA competition that runs from May 20th to June 6th, as the guest Nation.
However, they will not feature in the Group stages but will rather start at the quarter final stage.
In the Last 8, the Cranes will take on Lesotho, one of the other five nations that will also not be part of the Groups.
The team will depart for Durban, South Africa on Thursday ahead of the tournament which kicks off on May 25.
