KAMPALA – The Uganda Cranes will take on Western Region in their next Regional tour game.
As it has become the norm, the Men’s football National team makes random tours around the country, playing matches against different Region select sides.
In March, they defeated Kampala Select 4-0 at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo. Their next assignment takes them West on Saturday, 17-05-2019 where they will play another game at the Bushenyi Main Grounds.
It is understood that the team currently preparing for the 2019 COSAFA Cup in South Africa, under Police FC tactician Abdallah Mubiru, will be the one used for the game.
The team which also features former Uganda Cranes captain Geoffrey Massa as part of the technical team are currently being accommodated at Sky Hotel in Naguru having started their preparations on Tuesday.

They will depart for Bushenyi on Friday morning ahead of the Regional Tour game organized by the national team sponsors Airtel and Nile Special.
Mubiru and his support staff will be hoping to use the game to observe the areas where the focus needs to be concentrated ahead of the COSAFA Cup.
Uganda was invited to take part in this year’s COSAFA competition that runs from May 20th to June 6th as the guest Nation.
However, they will not feature in the Group stages but will rather start at the quarter-final stage.
