KAMPALA – Kampala Capital City Authority duo of head coach Mike Mutebi and striker Patrick Kaddu have been voted April/May best performers in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The two were crowned at a ceremony at Kati Kati Restuarant on Monday morning.
“I commend the StarTimes Uganda Premier League for such accolades, said Mutebi after receiving his award.
“These accolades make us work hard, they have elevated us to do much.
“The standard of football has improved thanks to these accolades because everyone knows that something will be honoured at the end of every month.
Mutebi oversaw six League fixtures in the April/March period, winning four and drawing two.
It was in the same period that his side sealed their 13th League crown after a 1-1 draw away to Ndejje University on April 23rd.
To win the award, Mutebi beat off competition from Tooro United’s Wasswa Bbosa who oversaw four victories, one draw and only a single defeat in six games.

For Kaddu, he was named the most outstanding performer in the same period.
Kaddu scored five goals between April and May, including two braces against Nyamityobora and Maroons.
The Uganda Cranes striker beat Allan Kayiwa to the award.
Both Mutebi and Kaddu received UGX 1m each on top of a plaque.
This is the 6th time the awards have been given out in the past season.
Kirinya JSS’s Joel Madondo and former Vipers SC head coach Javier Martinez were the inaugural winners of the awards back in October 2018.
