LUGOGO – KCCA FC demolished Maroons FC to end the StarTimes Uganda Premier League season on high.
The Kasasiros who sealed the league last week, put out a perfomance worthy of a crowning ceremony.
In the game played at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo, Patrick Kaddu scored a brace while Muzamir Mutyaba, Allan Okello, Allan Kyambadde and Herbert Achali added a goal each to complete the rout.
Seif Batte pulled one back for the visitors who came into the game knowing that their League status had already been secured.
KCCA FC who came into the game after their head coach Mike Mutebi had promised that they would be targeting victory, raced into and early lead thanks to Patrick Kaddu, inside 12 minutes.
12 minutes later, the former Maroons striker doubled his and his side’s tally to put the home side in a comfortable state.
Just like Kaddu, another former Maroons player, Muzamir Mutyaba scored against his ex-employers on 46 minutes to ensure a 3-0 lead by halftime.
Two minutes after the recess, Allan Okello joined in on the party, scoring KCCA’s third.
On 55 minutes, Allan Kyambadde who has been one of the most outstanding performers for KCCA this season, added a 5th.
Two minutes later, Herbert Achai also joined his other three teammates on the score sheet to make it 6-0.
Maroons got their consolation in the 58th minutes but it was all they could smile about at the end of the day.
Despite KCCA creating more goal scoring opportunities, six is what they had to settle for, on a day they received their 2018/19 StarTimes Uganda Premier League title.
KCCA finish the season with 66 points, the best tally they have ever managed under the stewardship of Mike Mutebi.
For Maroons they finished the season in 13th position with 33 points.

The Kasasiros have now won the Uganda Premier League 13 times, the second most in the competition’s history.

Only SC Villa (16) habe won it on more occassions than the Lugogo based side.
