KAMPALA – It has been an eventful week for 20 year old Allan Okello and it looks far from over.
Okello was dropped from the Africa Cup of Nations squad on Sunday night, tossed to the COSAFA team and has caused social media traffic as many believe he is supposed to be in Egypt in month.
News coming in from the camp at Sky View hotel where the COSAFA team is residing, now indicates that the KCCA FC play maker will not be part of the upcoming tournament in Durban, South Africa as he will be in Switzerland.
The former Kibuli SS players is understood to be headed to Switzerland for trails with the top tier side FC Zurich and will depart the country on Sunday, May 29th.
In the wake of events, URA FC defender Patrick Mbowa is understood to be re-joining camp to replace Okello.

Mbowa had initially been dropped on Tuesday alongside SC Villa striker Bashir Mutanda.
However, just like Birungi and Isiagi who were recalled after being dropped, Mbowa will now head back to the camp and is set to be part of the squad that will travel to Durban next Wednesday.
Uganda was invited to take part in this year’s COSAFA competition that runs from May 20th to June 6th, as the guest Nation.
However, they will not feature in the Group stages but will rather start at the quarter final stage.
In the Last 8, the Cranes will take on Lesotho, one of the other five nations that will also not be part of the Groups.
The team will depart for Durban, South Africa on Thursday ahead of the tournament which kicks off on May 25.
