LUGOGO – Proline will be hoping to complete their semi final task when they host Kyetume in the Uganda Cup second leg on Sunday.
The first leg played at the Nakisunga Ssaza play ground was won 2-1 by Proline, with Ibrahim Bonyo and Mustafa Mujjuzi scoring for Shafiq Bisaso’s side.
Robert Ssentongo scored the consolation for the star studded Kyetume.
Both sides play in the second tier of Ugandan football and will be vying to become the third Big League side to reach the Cup final in the last four years.
Proline are currently leading the Rwenzori Group but are yet to seal promotion with only a game to play.
A win for Bisaso’s side on the last day will see them make an immediate return to the top tier after they were relegated last season.
For Kyetume, they are second in the Elgon Group and can only get to the top tier via a nerve wracking playoff.
Bisaso’s head into the game as slight favourites to reach a first ever cup final.
However, they should be worry of the experience that oozes in the Kyetume team that comprises of a host of former top tier players.
Robert Ssentongo, Vicent Kayizzi Walugembe, Patrick Ochan, Faisam Malango and Owen Kasule among others.
This year’s final will be played at the Masaka Recreational center.
The other semi final between Express and Bright Stars is still locked at 1-1.
They play the return leg earlier next week.
