Police FC 0-2 URA FC
StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo
Wednesday, 01-05-2019
LUGOGO – URA FC may not have won the League this season but they have indeed been one of the most outstanding sides in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League this season.
It is very rare in world football to find a side that finishes a season unbeaten beaten away from home but by the looks of things, the Tax Collectors will most definitely achieve that fate.
On Wednesday afternoon, they were away to a stubborn Police FC side and by the sound of the final whistle, URA had come out victorious off a 2-0 score-line.
January signing Cromwel Rwothomio scored both of the tax collectors goals on the day.
The former Paidha Black Angels’ captain scored once in each half to inspire Sam Ssimbwa’s side to their 12th victory of the season, their 6th on the road.
Rwothomio opened the scoring in the 37th minutes with a simple finish past Police goalkeeper Davis Mutebi.
His second came on the hour mark, another sublime effort after a decent delivery by Peter Lwasa, a substitute who had replaced winger Vitalis Tabu at the start of the second half.
The victory sees URA climb into third on the standings with 50 points, two ahead of Tooro United whom they face in the last game of the season this Saturday at the Kavumba Recreational Stadium.
For Police, they suffered their 12th defeat of the season, dropping one place to 11th as they remain with 37 points.

In their last game of the season, the travel to Mbarara to face a wounded Mbarara City side at Kakyeka Stadium.
