MUKONO – StarTimes Uganda Premier League newbies are taking a trend of hiring new coaches after securing promotion to the top-tier.
Most likely, they are trying to avoid the fate that befell Nyamityobora FC, Ndejje University FC and Paidha Black Angels, who were relegated back to the second tier at the first time of asking.
Barely two weeks after Wakiso Giants announced Kefa Kisala as their new head coach, Kyetume FC have also come out and named George Best Nsimbe as the man to usher them into top-flight Football.
Nsimbe’s announcement was made over the weekend and is understood to have put pen to paper on a two-year deal.
The former KCCA FC and Vipers SC tactician replaces Jackson Mayanja who ensured the team makes their debut in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, next season.
After defeating Kansai Plascon 4-1 in the Big League playoff final last month, Mayanja made public, his intentions to step aside, claiming that his task had been completed.

Mayanja was assisted by Allan Kabonge who is also believed to have left the club luck he has consistently done after leading sides to the top flight, in the past.
Nsimbe will be assisted by David Mutono, a former SOANA (Tooro United FC) coach as Kyetume attempts to prolong their stay in the top flight.
Nsimbe comes in with a lot of experience having previously served at KCCA FC, Fire Masters, Vipers SC, Victors, The Saints, and Maroons FC.
He also managed outside Uganda, at Tanzania side Azam FC and Kenya’s Tusker FC.
In a similar development, it is understood that Kyetume FC Captain Vincent Kayizi has decided to extend his stay with the Mukono based side but Robert Ssentongo will be leaving for greener pastures.
