Proline FC vs Masters Security Services FC

Uganda Cup holders Proline FC have been drawn to face Masters Security Services in the 2019/2020 CAF Confederations Cup.
This was confirmed on Monday morning by the Confederations of African Football.
Shafick Bisaso’s side will host the first leg of the preliminary round tie in Kampala between the 9th and 11th of August 2019.
They will then travel to Lilongwe, Malawi where they will play the second leg between 23rd-25th of the same month (August).
The winner between Proline and Masters over the two legs shall take on either Rwanda’s AS Kigali or KMC from Tanzania.
At the draws of the Confederations Cup, it was announced that Salitas, Hassania Agadir, Djoliba, Enugu Rangers, CS Sfaxien, Zanako, RS Berkane, San Pedro, CNaPS and Bidvest Wits, had all received byes in the preliminary round of qualification.
Last season, Uganda was represented by KCCA FC in the Confederations Cup.
The Kasasiros powered past Tanzania’s Mtibwa Sugar 5-1 on aggregate in the first round before losing to Otoho 2-3 in the qualifying round. It was the same round that saw Vipers (demoted from the Champions League), lost 0-3 on aggregate to CS Sfaxien.
Proline are taking part in their maiden continental engagement.
What you need to know about the CAF Confederations Cup
The CAF Confederation Cup, officially named Total CAF Confederation Cup, is an annual club Association football competition organised by the CAF since 2004.
Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions.
It is the second-tier competition of African club football, ranking below the CAF Champions League.
The winner of the tournament faces the winner of the CAF Champions League in the following season’s CAF Super Cup.
The domestic cup winners from all 55 CAF member associations are eligible to participate. The third-placed club in the domestic league of the top twelve (12) placed CAF member associations also qualify.
