KCCA FC will feature in the quarterfinals of the CECAFA Kagame Cup 2018 after topping group B.
The Kasasiro’s achieved that by virtue of a 2-1 victory over of Rwandese side Mukura FC at the Huye stadium on Friday.
Two first have goals from Mike Mutyaba and Allan Okello put Mike Mutebi’s side on their way.

Mukura pulled one back in the second half through Gael Duhayindavyi but it was as close as they got and ended up on the wrong side of the 2-1 result.
The three points saw KCCA finish as Group B leaders with 7 points from three games. In their first two games, they defeated Bandari FC before drawing with defending champions Azam FC.
Up next for KCCA FC is a date with Congolese giants TP Mazembe, a tie that Mutebi is looking forward to.
“It was a good performance and I think there is room for improvement against TP Mazembe, after all, they play the good football we like. Said Mutebi on Friday.
“They are the big boys on the African continent and we will use the game to see how far we have progressed. They have a very strong squad which will be a good test.”
About the victory over Mukura, the former Uganda Cranes tactician had this to say;
“They (Mukura) tried to play which is good but we scored more goals.
“We used the ball very well in midfield but our decision making in the final third is still lacking.
“The good thing is that we won and marched onto the knockout stages.”
KCCA FC are the only remaining Ugandan side in the competition and will be targeting to win it for the second time in history. Their only triumph dates back to 1978.
In the other Group B game that was played on Friday, Azam FC ensured they finished second after drawing 0-0 with Bandari.
