
KCCA beat Azam FC 1-0 in there second game at the CECAFA Kagame Cup on Tuesday at Huye Stadium.
Sadat Anaku scored the only goal of the game in the 49th minute.
Azam was the better side in the first half especially with the way they were passing the ball and KCCA looked stretched especially in defence.
KCCA made an early substitution after Saddam juma got an injury and was replaced by Nicholas Kassozi in the 17th minute.
The Kasasiiro boys had chances to take the lead but could not find the back of the net. Anaku’s header hit the goal post in the 21st minute, highlighting how close Mike Mutebi’s side were.
Moments later, Nicholas Kassozi also came close but his effort denied by Azam’s goalie Razak Abalora.
The goal finally came four minutes into the second half as Anaku got his campaign off the mark and eventually handed KCCA their first win.
Speaking to the press after the match, KCCA head coach Mike Mutebi said that it was his best match so far, they played the team that passes a ball very well, good game and all sets of players entertained the crowds.

Mutebi also added that his team scored a goal which was good for their confidence.
“We scored the goal and it is a good result for us. That is what we want I was very pleased with how Azam played” he added.
Mutebi also emphasized that they have to win their next match aganist Mukura to go passed the Group stages.
“We have to beat Mukura to go passed group stages.” the tactician said.
KCCA is in group B with Azam FC, Bandari and Mukura VS.
KCCA will be in action again against Mukura Vs for Rwanda on Friday.
