Several Ugandan referees have been handed duties ahead of the upcoming CAF Champions League 2019/2020.
Africa’s ultimate football showpiece starts next weekend with 29 matches to be played in the preliminary round.
Among the 29 games, three will see a host of Ugandan officials on duty.
The match between Zanzibar champions KMKM Sc and Angola’s Club Desportivo 1 de Agosto which will be played on August 1oth at the Amaan Stadium, will be handled by Ali Sabila.
Sabila will be assisted by Mark Ssonko and Isa Masembe as the first and second assistant referees respectively with Mashood Ssali the fourth official.
William Oloya has been handed the task to officiate the clash between Fomboni Football Club de Moheli of Comoros and Seychelles’ COTE D’OR FC.
The game that will be played at the Stade de Moroni will see Ronald Katenya and Dick Okello as the first and second assistant referees. Mashood Saali will once again be the fourth official.
The other match between Atlabara FC of South Sudan and Egyptian giants Al Ahly which will be played at the Juba Stadium will be handled by Brian Miiro Nsubuga as the center referee.
Lee Okello and Musa Ngobi will be the first and second assistant referees respectively with Alex Muhabi the fourth official.
Ugandan side KCCA FC will also be in action away to Namibian champions African Stars on the same weekend.
