KCCA FC 3-1 Onduparaka FC
Allan Okello scored in either half of the game as KCCA defeated Onduparaka 3-1 to reach the Pilsner Super 8 finals in a match played at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.
Teenager Ramathan Musa scored the fist goal for KCCA in the 4th minute to give them an early lead.
Later on as the first half was coming to an end young star Okello made it two to the Kasasiro.
In the 19th minutes Ceaser Okhuti ‘s header was saved by KCCA goalie Jamal Malyamungu in what was arguably the visitors best chance in the opening exchanges.
Onduparaka made an early substitution when they replaced Saddam Norman with Joel Jangeyambe in the 26th minute.
KCCA gaffer Mike Mutebi gave chance to the new club signing Simon Serunkuma, John Revita and Erisa Sekisambu.
On their debut they played to impress especially Simon Serunkuma who assisted Allan Okello’s goals.
The crowd was cheering for John Revita who was comfortable in defence.
In the second stanza Onduparaka scored a consolation through substitute Bheto Bashir and his goal was assisted by Okhuti in the 52th minute.
The caterpillars who are now coached by Livingstone Mbabazi dominated the second half though they weren’t lucky enough to score more goals.
Speaking to the press after the match Coach Mike Mutebi said that this match was very important and it gave them a good test ahead of their CAF game.
“This game was very important to us and it gave us a good test ahead of our second leg match against African Stars.” Said Mutebi.
Sadiq Sempigi onduparaka assistant coach said that the boys didn’t utilise there chances well though they made them.
“We made the chances but didn’t utilise them like our opponents did.” Said Sempigi.
Allan Okello won named the Pilsner man of the match award.
KCCA will play Vipers SC who edged Mbarara city in finals on a date to be communicated.
