Onduparaka FC and Mbarara City will clash in the Pilsner Super 8 at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
With 5th to 8th spots all sorted, the game will be used to determine who finishes 3rd and 4th in this year’s edition.
The two sides are here after losing their respective semi final clashes.
Onduparaka were defeated 1-3 by KCCA FC while Mbarara lost 3-5 on penalties to Vipers, following a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.
Both sides will also be eyeing a second victory in the competition after triumphing in their respective quarter finals’ victories.
In the last 8, Onduparaka took care of Tooro United on penalties while Mbarara defeat URA FC 2-0.
The game sees Livingstone Mbabazi take on his former side-Mbarara City. Mbabazi impressed at hos time in Mbarara, leading them to a 5th place finish last season.
Ahead of the contest, Onduparaka FC’s head coach Sadiq Sempiji is worried about the threat Mbarara posses.
“We are playing a team which is new to us with new coach, management and been well organized in the transfer market, so we expect a big threat, noted Sempiji.
“Its very hard to play Mbarara City than playing KCCA. Their style of play is new to us and Mbarara City players are so motivated to play against their former coach.
“Our team is so set, the last game we lost pushed us to do correction so that we come prepared in this game and we are optimistic to have good results tomorrow.”
News coming from the Onduparaka camp indicates that they are expected to be without the services of Ezra Bida who lost his brother last week.
Seventeen year-old Idi Abdulwahid is in line to make his debut for the Caterpillars.
This will be the 5th competitive fixture between the two sides.
In the first four meetings, each side has won one game whilst drawing the other two.
