Wakiso Giants vs URA FC
Wakissha Resource Center, Wakiso
Monday, 19-08-2019 @4pm
WAKISO – Wakiso Giants will take on URA FC at the Wakissha Resource Centre on Monday afternoon.
With 7th and 8th spot already sorted, the two sides will be vying to finish 5th in this year’s preseason tournament.
After losing their opening fixtures in the competition, both sides won their first classification games last week to set up this contest.
Wakiso lost 2-0 to KCCA FC in the last 8 but then defeated Tooro United in their first placement game.
This will be the second meeting between these two sides with the first coming in a friendly last week, one that URA won 1-0.
Ahead of the game, Wakiso Giants head coach Kefa Kisala underlined the importance of the duel.
“It’s an important game since it helps us check where we need to improve ahead of the season,” said Kefa Kisala.
“We have played them (URA) here before but that was just a friendly game. It will be a good game against a good side and will give us a good test.”
For URA, they lost 2-0 away to Mbarara before defeating Proline 5-4 on penalties.
“It’s so unfortunate that we did not start off so well in our opening match against Mbarara. We should have done better,” noted URA FC’s fullback Yeseri Waibi.
“That is done now, we have to keep working hard so we can finish off [the Pilsner Super 8] on a good note.”
For Wakiso, Ivan Kiweewa is suspended after accumulating two yellow cards. Ayub Kisaliita remains on the side-lines while Ibrahim Kiyemba is back in contention after missing the game against Wasswa Bbosa’s side.
