Uganda Premier League
Bright Stars vs Wakiso Giants
Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku
Wednesday, 11-09-2019 @4:30pm
Wakiso Giants will be out to maintain their good start to the Uganda Premier League when they take on Bright Stars at the Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku.
After losing to KCCA FC on opening day, the Purple Sharks who are currently in their debut top-flight season have gone on to defeat both URA FC and Tooro United.
On Tuesday, they have a chance to make it three wins in as many games when they take on Bright Stars.
It is a game that Wakiso will be expected to win as they ooze more quality in terms of playing staff than their opponents.
However, head coach Kefa Kisala thinks it will not be an easy game.
“We are ready for the game and the target is to pick maximum points, said Kisala ahead of Wednesday’s clash.
“It will be a tough game because they are desperate to pick points but the boys are braced for the challenge.”
True to Kisala’s words, Bright Stars are in desperate need for points.
Muhammad Kiseka’s are yet to win a game this season and have taken just a single point from a possible nine.
A 3-1 loss against Vipers SC was followed up with a 1-1 draw at Express and then a 3-0 loss away to Busoga United.
A third loss in four games would spell disaster for the 2019 Uganda Cup finalists and they will be out to ensure that does not happen at all costs.
Team News
Kirizestom Ntambi and Alex Komakech are available for Wakiso Giants after acquiring their licenses following delays in the paperwork. Hassan Wasswa Dazo and Yasin Mugabi are back in training but could be left out due to fitness issues while Yasin Mugume has no chance of playing as he is still injured.

Bright Stars are still expected to be without striker Nelson Ssenkatuka who is eyeing a move elsewhere. Their hopes will have to settle with Methodius Jungu, Jamil Kalisa and Augustine Kacanchu.
