
CAF has named the match officials that will handle the CAF Champions League first-round encounter between KCCA FC and Petro de Luanda.
The Kasasiro boys will visit De Luanda in Angola for the first leg on September 14 before the return leg two weeks later.
Belay Tadesse Asseresse from Ethiopia will be the Center Referee for the game.
He will be assisted by fellow country-men Kindie Mussie and Tigle Gizaw Belachew as the first and second assistant referees.
Another Ethiopian Biruk Yemanabran Kassaun will be on the sideline as the fourth official while Carlos Francisco from Mozambique has been confirmed as the match commissioner.
KCCA FC knocked out Namibia’s African Stars 4-3 on aggregate – Allan Okello and Mustafa Kizza scored in the return leg at Lugogo to put KCCA in the first round.
The Angolan giants, on the other hand, beat Lesotho’s Matlama 4-0 on aggregate to reach this round.
Winner of this tie will progress to the group stages of the CAF Champions League while the loser will drop to Confederation cup qualifiers.
The match will be played on a natural surface at Estadio 11 de Novembro in Luanda – Angola a familiar ground to KCCA FC where they played C.D Primeiro De Agosto on 19th February 2017.
It should be noted that Uganda Premier League Champions eliminated De Agosto on away goals after a 2-2 aggregate draw.
