Vipers SC striker Fahad Bayo continued his good goal scoring form as he netted once in Uganda Cranes 3-0 victory over West Nile in the regional tour.
Bayo who has netted five times for the Venoms since joining them in the summer struck Uganda’s third in front of a fully parked Paridi Stadium on Sunday.
Earlier, Mbarara City FC winger had marked his national team debut with the opening goal of the game.
URA right-back Ashraf Mandela then doubled the Cranes lead to compound West Nile’s victory.
This is the first win for the Uganda Cranes in the regional tours over a West Nile since defeating them 1-0 at the Bar Okoro grounds 2017.
This is the Cranes fourth victory of the regional tours and have now lost once in the five games played.
The Abdallah Mubiru’s coached side is preparing for the return leg of the CHAN 2020 qualifier against Burundi in Kampala, having won the first leg 3-0 away in Bujumbura.
Mubiru and the technical team used two different line ups for either half in a bid to test out the various players that were summoned on the team.
