
CECAFA U20 Challenge Cup 2019

KAMPALA – The Uganda U20 national team, the Hippos have been drawn in group A of this year’s CECAFA U20 Championships.
The team that will be managed by Morley Byekwaso will play alongside Sudan, Eritrea and Djibouti in the particular group.
The developments were confirmed on Saturday, September 14th, during a press conference held at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.
It was also confirmed that Uganda will play all their group games at the Peace War Memorial Stadium in Gulu.
At the same press conference, it was announced that CAF and FIFA are the main sponsors of the championship.
Group A of the championship will have Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Zanzibar.
In Group B, Burundi, South Sudan and Somalia will do battle.
Both group A and B will have their matches played at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
The opening day of the championships will have two games both from Group A.
The first that will be played at 2pm between Sudan and Djibouti with Uganda vs Ethiopia coming at 4pm. Both games will be at the Peace War Memorial Stadium in Gulu.
