Saturday, 14-09-2019 @4pm
Wakiso Giants will be hoping to return to winning ways when they host Bul FC at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakissha on Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Sharks were on a run of two consecutive victories when they drew 1-1 away to Bright Stars on Wednesday afternoon.
They come into the game knowing that any sort of victory will see them climb onto the top of the standings currently occupied by SC Villa.
What they are saying ahead of the game
Hassan Ssenyonjo, Wakiso Giants midfielder
“It was frustrating not to beat Bright Stars but that’s now behind us.
“We shall go into the game against Bul FC eager for victory and with the home support, am confident will win.”
Kefa Kisala, Wakiso Giants head coach
“We have so far performed well at home as we have won all of our first two games at home.
“We had a disappointing result in our last game away to Bright Stars but we have worked on our mistakes and are optimistic we will get the job done.”
It should be noted that Kisala makes a return to his former employers-Bul FC and he will hope to get one over them.
Yasin Mugume (long term) and Karim Ndugwa (malaria) are ruled out of the game but the rest of the players are available for selection including the duo of Yasin Mugabi and Viane Ssekajugo who have spent the past few days training with the national team.
For Bul, they come into the game on the back of a derby-day loss to arch-rivals Busoga United on Wednesday.
The loss was their first of the season and they will be hoping to put that behind them and strive and a further three points.
Peter Onen’s side has already beaten up on Express FC and Police FC and currently have six points from three games.
