NAKAWA – Uganda Revenue Authority has unveiled Rwenzori Mineral Water as their partner.
The two parties signed a two-year deal worth UGX 60m on Thursday, September 12-2019, at the URA FC’s offices in Nakawa.
The deal will see Rwenzori supply URA FC with water during trainings and matches for the next two years.
It was broken down that 200 boxes of water will be supplied every month, amounting to 2,400 boxes a year.
Speaking at the launch of the partnership, URA FC chairperson James Kizza welcomed the deal and promised that the club is working around the clock to bring in more partners.
“For a club to move on smoothly, we need all the financial support from the corporate world and this partnership has been openly welcomed, noted Kizza.
“We expect more to come and we are in talks with many companies. We are trying a build a very strong football brand and this can only come true with increased association with such important parties.”
Despite having internal disputes, URA FC seems to be moving in the right direction under the stewardship of current Cheif Executive Officer (CEO) Ivan Kakembo.

They are one of a few sides in the Uganda Premier League, that are self-sustaining but signing such a deal with a huge company further proves Kakembo’s intentions to grow the club further.
Last season, the Tax Collectors finished third in the league and highlighted their desire to win it this campaign.
At this point in time, URA FC has gathered four points after winning one, drawing once and losing the other of their three fixtures.
Their next fixture will be at home to Tooro United tomorrow (Friday).
