Tuesday, 03-09-2019 @4:30pm
WAKISO – Wakiso Giants will be gunning for a first Uganda Premier league victory when they host URA FC on Tuesday afternoon.
The Purple Sharks are playing in their maiden top-flight season after securing promotion to the top flight last campaign.
They were treated to a harsh welcome by KCCA FC on match-day one, losing 1-0 at Lugogo on Saturday.
The result will give them inspiration after putting up a good show and after securing the services of several experienced players, Kefa Kisala’s side will fancy their chances against the Tax Collectors.
For URA FC, they will be eyeing a perfect six points from two games.
Their first game saw Sam Simbwa’s side ran out 3-0 victors against Maroons on Friday.

They are one of three sides tipped to fight for the league title and to prove their credentials, URA must not slip in such games.
What the coaches are saying
Kefa Kisala, Wakiso Giants head coach
“We didn’t perform as well as we wanted against KCCA but players did well and deserve credit for the performance.
“It’s the third time in a month that we are playing URA.
“They are a very good side with a rich history but our players are ready and being at home, we must utilize the chance to improve on the performance from last game and the target is to win.
Sam Simbwa, URA head coach
“We have a chance to add onto our three points gathered already.
“Wakiso showed in their game against KCCA FC that they will not be push overs.
“I anticipate a good game of football but hopefully we win it in the end.:
