
KAMPALA – Vipers Sports Club striker Fahad Bayo was on Monday, October 7th, named the Uganda Premier League best player of the month of September.
This was confirmed at a press conference held at Kati Kati Restaurant in Kampala.
Bayo was on-form in September as he scored three goals in the two games Vipers SC played.
He was on target in 1-0 victory at home to Tooro United and also scored in the 2-2 draw with Mbarara City.
To scoop the award, Bayo beat Maroons FC striker Steven Mukwala and SC Villa midfielder David Owori.
At the same ceremony, Maroons head coach Douglas Bamweyana was named the best coach of September.

In September, Bamweyana led Maroons to a perfect three victories in as many games.
The former Express FC and SC Villa tactician was at the helm as Maroons beat Kyetume 1-0, Tooro United 2-0 and Bright Stars 3-2.
The victories eventually saw Maroons sit top of the pile momentarily although they have eventually dropped after two losses on the bounce in October.
Both Bayo and Bamweyana were given accolades and Shs 1,000,000 each.
