Betway Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku
Saturday, 12-10-2019 @4pm
Bright Stars are still the only side yet to register a victory in the Uganda Premier League.
Their hunt for a maiden win sees them host Kyetume FC at the Betway Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku on Saturday afternoon.
Muhammad Kiseka’s side are not having things go their way currently but are hell bent on continuing to try.
They had a good goal disallowed in the 1-1 draw with KCCA FC before substitute Brian Kayanja rattled the cross bar in the last minutes of their 0-0 draw at home to Tooro United in the last games.
The team looks to be lucking at both ends of the pitch having conceded 12 goals and scored just 7 in their first 8 games.
Despite the struggles, Kiseka is optimistic a first victory is not far away.
“We know we have not won a game this season and it is a statistic we very much want to put right, noted the gaffer ahead of the game.
“When you look at how we play, it is just luck that is eluding us.
“I am sure a first victory is just around the corner and we will keep on knocking on the door until it comes.
“May be it will be against Kyetume, i do not know but i am sure ut will be very soon.”
For Kyetume, they having a trying debut season in the top flight.
After defeating SC Villa in their opening game, they went on a winless run of three games.
They then bounced back with an unexpected victory away to Tooro United but then lost at home to Express in their latest fixture.
They have been inconsistent, typical of a newbie but are very much hard to break down.
In their first six games, they have conceded just three goals, a league lowest as per now.
Against Bright Stars, they will very much fancy their chances against a side that usually does not score much.
