
Uganda’s continental representatives KCCA FC and Proline will take on North African opposition in the playoff round of the CAF Confederations Cup.
This was confirmed on Wednesday night as the draws were conducted in Cairo, Egypt.
KCCA FC will take on Algerian side Paradou and will play the first leg at home.
For Proline, they face Al Nasry of Libya and play away from home in the first leg.
The first legs of both encounters will be played on the last weekend of November while the return legs take place a week later.
To get to this round, KCCA FC dropped out of the CAF Champions League after losing to Angolan side Petro de Luanda in the first round of qualification. They had overcome African Stars in the first round after receiving a bye in the preliminary stage.
For Proline, they overcame Rwandese side AS Kigali in the second round of the Confederations cup. Proline had take care of Masters Security in the round prior.
Paradou, eliminated Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien 3-1 on aggregate to reach this stage.
Al Nasry hurtled from the Champions league following a defeat against Raja Casablanca.
Winners of the tie over two legs will advance to the Group Stages of the 2019/20 CAF Confederations Cup.
