Proline FC vs Busoga United
StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo
Tuesday, 08-10-2019 @4pm
LUGOGO – Proline, they have had a mixed start to the season and will be hoping for victory when they take on Busoga United on Tuesday afternoon.
Matia Lule’s side are into the CAF Confederations Cup play-off round after negotiating their way through the first and second rounds but have been struggling on and off the pitch in the league.
They are currently bottom of the pile with zero (0) points following a deduction of six (point) by FUFA after they failed to honour their match-day three fixture at home to SC Villa.
Their latest fixture saw them lose 1-0 away to Vipers SC, their third loss in the league. They had earlier lost to both Mbarara City and SC Villa.
In the loss to the Venoms on Saturday, the duo of Mahad Kakooza and Edrisa Lubega was denied the license to play and it remains a mystery whether they will be cleared on Tuesday.
For Busoga United, they are currently on a poor run of form as they have not won in three.
However, they avoided defeat in their last game as they drew 1-1 at home to SC Villa. The draw was their first point in three games having lost to both Onduparaka and Mbarara City prior.
“We are going to play one of the teams which play a good brand football but we have good history over them,” said Busoga United head coach Abby Bogere ahead of the game.
“Against Villa, we got a lot of chances which we failed to convert, but have tried to rectify on those mistakes.
“I hope we are going to put up a good performance against Proline on artificial turf which we are familiar with, and I hope the boys are going to give it all.”
