Onduparaka FC vs SC Villa
Green Light Stadium, Arua
Monday, 18-11-2019 @4pm
SC Villa will be hoping to consolidate third spot when they take on Onduparaka FC at the Green Light Stadium in Arua on Monday afternoon.
The Jogoos have been one of the surprises of the season having just about escaped relegation last season.
They have managed 24 points from their first 13 games and a win over Onduparaka on Monday will see them move to within 2 points of second-placed BUL FC.
Having played two games less than the Jinja based side, Villa have a chance of ending the first round in second, something that will be taken an achievement, especially after a troubled pre-season.
With things falling in place on the pitch, there is however some bad news off it.
It is understood that the players have not been paid fr over four months and were threatening not to travel to Arua on Sunday. After a meeting amongst themselves, they agreed to play the remaining two games and then execute their sit-down.
For Onduparaka, they have blown hot and cold in the last 9 games.
In that period, they have won just three games and their dreams of mounting a serious title challenge has faded away.
However, they sit just a point behind Villa at the start of the day and a victory on Monday will see them climb into second.
