Bright Stars FC vs Police FC
Bombo Barracks Stadium, Bombo
Friday, 15-11-2019 @1pm
Police FC will be welcoming back head coach Abdallah Mubiru when they take on Bright Stars at Bombo Barracks stadium on Friday afternoon.
The gaffer has been away on national team duty for the past two games but after the Cranes returned yesterday, he is expected to resume his duties in the Cops’ dugout.
While Mubiru was away, Police FC registered their third victory of the season as they hammered Tooro United FC 4-0 but it did not help them much as they remained second from bottom.
Just like last season, Police’s main issue has been their defence as it keeps on leaking goals.
In just 13 games, they have conceded a league-high 23 goals and kept only three clean-sheets.
If they can keep a fourth on Friday, chances are high they will walk away with all three points after all they are a side they will score at the other end more often than not.
For Bright Stars, they will be eyeing a second victory of the season.
The Stars come into the contest having beaten only Onduparaka and as a consequence, head coach Muhammad Kisekka has been demoted to a scouting role and replaced by former assistant Paul Kiwanuka.
Kiwanuka is a man who knows his way around the club and if he can somehow come up with a victory in his first game in charge, Bright Stars’ attempts to fend off the drop will have taken a huge boost.
