CECAFA Women’s Championship 2019
Uganda vs Ethiopia
Chamazi Stadium, Dar es Salaam

The Crested Cranes will be hoping to continue flying at the 2019 CECAFA Women’s Championship when they take on Ethiopia at the Chamazi Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
Faridah Bulega’s side annihilated Djibouti 13-0 in their opening game and will hope to add three more points to their Group B tally, against a decent Ethiopia side.
The win on Sunday was straight forward and asked less questions of the Crested Cranes who were rampant from the word go.
However, Ethiopia is one of the stronger sides in the competition and Bulega and her charges will need to be at their best that is if they will walk away with a second victory.
The Crested Cranes will be expected to at least score goals against an Ethiopia side that lost 2-0 in their opening game against Kenya.
With Juliet Nalukenge who helped herself to five goals on Sunday and the pair of Hassifah Nassuna and Fazila Ikwaput (scored a hattrick each), Bulega has players capable of finding the back of the net, at her disposal.
Nalukenge has been in inspired form throughout the last couple of months. She was the top scorer at the recently concluded COSAFA Cup where she scored 18 goals.
She will be the player to watch and the Kawempe Moslem striker is ready for the task ahead.
“I scored five in the last game and hoping to continue on the same path, Nalukenge noted after Monday’s training session.
“I for one, I am ready for the game against Ethiopia and hopefully I can help my team win.”
Uganda is currently on top of Group B, level on points with Kenya but with a better goal difference.
The other Group B game between Kenya and Djibouti will be played at the same venue at 2pm.
