Vipers SC vs Wakiso Giants FC
St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende
Tuesday, 04-11-2019 @4pm
KITENDE – Wakiso Giants FC will start life minus Kefa Kisala when they travel away to Vipers SC on Tuesday afternoon.
The Purple Sharks parted ways with the tactician on Monday in the wake of their 3-0 loss to Express FC two days before.
At the time of Kisala’s departure, the team’s form has deteriorated and they sit in the bottom half of the table.
Currently, Wakiso are 10th on the log with 13 points from 11 games.
Their last two games have all ended in defeat as the Purple Sharks have lost to both Police FC and Express FC.
Steven Bengo will be the man tasked to lead the team in the meantime as they search for a permanent replacement.
The former SC Villa, Express FC and KCCA FC player will very much know how huge a task awaits him on Tuesday afternoon.
Vipers is the side everyone should not be wishing to face at the moment as they are absolutely flying.
They are still the only unbeaten side in the division having won 8 and drawn three of their opening 11 games.
Their last two games have also all ended in victories as they beat Kyetume 2-1 before overcoming Busoga United 1-0 on Saturday.
Going into Tuesday’s game, Vipers head coach Edward Golola is worry of the hunger Wakiso comes with.
“Everyone has talked about how we have been the better side going by the recent results but our opponents are hungrier for victory now than before, noted Golola on Vipers SC official website.
“They have good players and we know they will come seeking for redemption but we shall not take them lightly either, we shall take the game to them.”
Team News
Wakiso Giants will be without Tom Masiko, Ibrahim Kiyemba and Duncan Sseninde who are all ineligible to face their parent club. Aggrey Madoi could be available to face his former bosses after missing the game against Express FC through a bereavement leave after he lost his sister. Ayub Kisaliita remains out due to injury and so is Yasin Mugume despite returning to training.

Innocent Wafula resumed training after overcoming a knock but is doubtful for Vipers SC. Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye is still out recovering from a bout but will soon be back in training.
