Steven Bengo takes his Wakiso Giants team to the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru to meet Maroons in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League looking for a third win in a row.
Bengo is just a few weeks into his caretaking role and things are already looking bliss for the Purple Sharks.
During Kefa Kisala’s reign, Wakiso had turned into some laughing stock with discouraging displays the order of the day. The former Cranes forward, however, seems to have turned things around.
Two wins have been recorded since his takeover, and the side travels to Njeru hoping to maintain the winning run.
Bengo, however, is aware it won’t be an easy task for them considering the opponents they are facing. Maroons have lost just once in their last six matches, recording two wins in those matches.
The Prisons side head into tomorrow’s meeting on the back of a one-all draw with Busoga United. Striker Steven Mukwala is a go-to guy for goals at Maroons and he will be looked upon for them. He’s been in somewhat an impressive form, scoring Maroons important goals.
It promises to be a close encounter. The table suggests the two sides are more or less the same. Maroons have scored 14 goals, conceded 16 and they sit eighth with 18 points.
Wakiso on the other hand, have found the net fifteen times while letting in 16. They occupy sixth place with 19 points.
