Inter Milan vs Roma

New Serie A leaders Inter immediately face a huge test, as they host on form Roma and Edin Dzeko in a Friday night special.
The Nerazzurri leapfrogged Juventus at the top of the table last week, and despite the injury crisis, they continue to notch up positive results in both Serie A and the Champions League.
They have had a historic start to the campaign with 12 wins in the opening 14 rounds which have seen them gather 37 points, one ahead of multiple defending champions Juventus.
Antonio Conte is still without Stefano Sensi, Nicolò Barella, Alexis Sanchez and now also Roberto Gagliardini. They are down to the bare bones in midfield, which means Borja Valero pulling the strings with Matias Vecino and Marcelo Brozovic.
Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez cannot seem to stop scoring at the moment and have forged a fantastic partnership, both on and off the pitch. How long they can keep up this momentum with no rest remains to be seen.
Roma had their own massive injury crisis, but are now starting to emerge out the other side. Lorenzo Pellegrini already resumed where he left off, by churning out assists, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan should also return for his first start. Amadou Diawara has fully recovered, but Justin Kluivert needs to be evaluated following a minor thigh issue. Javier Pastore, Davide Zappacosta and Bryan Cristante are still on the treatment table.
Their last three Serie A meetings have been stalemates, but only once – in 1967 – have Inter and Roma played four consecutive top-flight draws.
