
The Uganda Women’s national team-Crested Cranes will face Burundi in the preliminary round of the 2020 African Women Cup of Nations qualifiers.
This was confirmed on Wednesday following the draw for the qualifiers of the 12th edition of the women tournament.
The two nations will face off in the two-legged tie that will be played between April 6th and 14th.
Uganda will be away from home in the first leg before hosting Burundi in Kampala.
Faridah Bulega’s side will be hoping to reach the finals’ tournament for the first time in their history.
They fell to Kenya in the preliminary round of qualifiers for the 2018 edition.
Nigeria are the defending champions of the competition. This year’s tournament is yet to secure a host following withdraw by the Republic of Congo.
