Uganda Premier League
Express FC vs Proline FC
Kavumba Recreation Grounds, Wakiso
Saturday, 18-01-2020 @4pm
Expres FC succumbed to their worst ever defeat in history earlier this week.
The Red Eagles who are one of the heavyweights of Ugandan football were humiliated 6-1 away to Police FC on Wednesday.
To many, the result brought out a clear picture of who Express really are currently despite having an indifferent first round.
On Saturday, the Red Eagles return to action when they take on Proline FC at Kavumba.
They will be hoping to respond positively to being humiliated.
Express will be without captain Disan Ggaliwango who misses the game due to suspension after receiving his third yellow card of the season, automatically warranting he misses a game.
However, the duo of Muhammad Iga and Frank Ssenyondo who missed the loss to Police has returned after completing their one-match suspension.
For Joshua Adea, Joshua Ssetambula and Cyrus Kibande, they are all still out injured.
Express start the day in 12th with 18 points so far.
For Proline, they are still bottom of the standings and are desperate for points.
After beating Maroons 2-1 in their opening second round game, Anthoney Bongole’s side lost 4-2 to Vipers, a game that saw them look extremely good going forward.
Against a Red Eagles side that concedes often, Proline will be hoping their fire-power upfront sees them over the line.
Proline have 12 points from 17 games going into Saturday’s encounter.
