Newcastle’s two wins in the past 14 Premier League meetings both came at home: in 2014 and last season. Everton’s solitary defeat in the last 15 home games against Newcastle was by 1-0 in September 2010 (W10, D4). The Toffees have won four of the five most recent home meetings, drawing the other. Newcastle have gone 16 matches without a clean sheet in this fixture.
Everton forward Richarlison will miss a second match with the knee injury that ruled him out of the draw at West Ham.Alex Iwobi is nearing a return after six games out with a thigh problem, but Gylfi Sigurdsson is still sidelined and Michael Keane is a doubt.

Sheffield United will assess the fitness of forward David McGoldrick, who missed Saturday’s draw at Arsenal with a foot injury.Mo Besic has impressed as a substitute in recent games and is pushing for his full Premier League debut for the club.
Manchester City could be without John Stones because of a leg injury, and Benjamin Mendy, who has muscle fatigue. The game will probably come too soon for Aymeric Laporte but he is close to a return from a lengthy knee injury.
Sheffield United’s only victory in the past 10 league meetings was 1-0 at home in January 2000 (D5, L4). The Blades have faced Manchester City more often without winning in the Premier League than they have versus any other side, drawing three games and losing four. However, United won the most recent encounter between the sides at Bramall Lane, knocking City out of the FA Cup 12 years ago.
Manchester City have scored 33 Premier League away goals in 11 games at an average of three per game – in English top-flight history, only Preston North End have a better average over a season, scoring 35 in 11 matches in 1888-89. City have scored twice or more in 11 successive matches in all competitions, totalling 34 goals. However, Pep Guardiola’s side have conceded the opening goal in eight Premier League fixtures in 2019-20, as many as they did in the previous two seasons combined. City have kept just two clean sheets in their last 13 league games, with one of those against Sheffield United at the Etihad. Riyad Mahrez is the only Premier League player to both score and assist 20 goals since the start of last season in all competitions (21 goals, 23 assists). Kevin De Bruyne’s 15 assists in all competitions this season is more than any other Premier League player.

Southampton are expected to be without defender Jan Bednarek, who suffered an Achilles injury at the weekend. Yan Valery is also unlikely to feature despite stepping up his fitness following a viral infection.
Crystal Palace have won just three of 21 Premier League meetings (D6, L12). Southampton have won five of their past seven away league games against Palace, losing the other two matches. Saints have enjoyed eight victories versus the Eagles since they returned to the top flight in 2012, more than against any other side.
Chelsea vs Arsenal
Stamford Bridge, London

Chelsea have won six of the past seven league meetings at Stamford Bridge, drawing the other. However, no team has won more Premier League away matches at Chelsea than the seven by Arsenal. Arsenal’s last league triumph at Stamford Bridge was a 5-3 victory in October 2011. Mikel Arteta started that game, while Frank Lampard scored the opening goal for the Blues.
Chelsea have confirmed that both Reece James and Marcos Alonso are in contention to return following injury.Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Marco van Ginkel are the Blues’ only certain absentees.
Arsenal are assessing the fitness of Sokratis following illness, while Sead Kolasinac and Reiss Nelson have again been ruled out. Captain and top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sits out the second game of his three-match suspension.
Chelsea have lost six of their past 11 top-flight games (W4, D1). They have lost eight times in the league this season, as as many as they did in the whole of 2018-19. The Blues have conceded 10 league goals at Stamford Bridge this season – only Liverpool, with nine, have let in fewer at home. They have won three of their four London derbies this term – the exception being a home defeat by West Ham. Only Norwich have given more Premier League minutes to players aged 21 or younger this season than Chelsea and Arsenal. Frank Lampard is looking to become the first English Chelsea manager to do the league double against Arsenal since Dave Sexton in 1969-70.
Arsenal have won two of 10 league games since sacking Unai Emery, including one victory from five top-flight matches under Mikel Arteta (D3, L1). They have dropped 13 Premier League points from winning positions this season, with seven of those coming since Arteta was appointed head coach. The Gunners have won just one of their last 10 away league games (D6, L3). Arsenal are unbeaten in their last five top-flight matches on the road, albeit four of those have ended in draws. Alexandre Lacazette has not scored an away league goal since February’s 2-1 win at Huddersfield.
