Bright Stars FC will host Maroons FC at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds in Wakiso on Wednesday afternoon in one of the three Uganda Premier league games to be played on the day.
Bright Stars FC look to be rejuvenated since the second round kicked off and will want to pull away from the relegation zone as soon as possible.
They did win their opening two games but lost the third before progressing to the Uganda Cup round of 32 this past week.
Victories over BUL FC and KCCA FC were followed up with a 1-0 loss to URA FC in their last outing.
Currently, Paul Kiwanuka’s side occupy the last relegation spot but sit just a point away from safety.
Victory on Wednesday will see them climb to13th, two points away from the relegation zone.
For Maroons, they have been performing fairly well since the season started.
Under the guidance of Douglas Bamweyana, the Prisons’ side have been a joy to watch as they play some beautiful football.
In Steven Mukwala, they also have the league’s top scorer and one of the revelations of the current season.
Wednesday may be a hard trip for Maroons but they will know they are capable of getting a good result in Kavumba.
