Proline FC have secured the signature of Brian Umony.
The former KCCA FC and Express FC striker is understood to have signed a short-term deal with the Lugogo based side.
The deal is believed to be on a six month period and he will be at the club until June 2019.
Umony has been without a club ever since leaving Express FC in July 2019 and is expected to fill the void left by Edrisa Lubega who left the club last month.
Umony has previously featured for a host of local clubs including Nakawa United, Naguru Avis, KCCA FC and Express FC.
He also had professional stints at Super Sport United, University of Pretoria, USA based side Portland Timbers, Becamex Binh Duong, Tanzania’s Azam FC and St. George of Ethiopia.
Umony has 35 caps in the Uganda National Team colours with 12 goals. He was the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup top scorer in 2009.
Relatedly, Uganda Cranes attacking midfielder William Kizito Luwagga has signed for Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Kfar-Saba.
Luwagga who was part of the Uganda Cranes squad that reached the second round of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt has put pen to paper on a one and half year contract with Hapoel Kfar-Saba.

Luwagga has been a free agent following expiration of his contract at Romania side Politenhica Lasi last year.
In March 2019, the Romanian outfit loaned him to Kazakhstan Premier League side Shakhter Karagandy.
Luwagga has also previously played for Vipers SC, Beralus giants BATE Borisov and Portuguese sides Leixoes, Sporting Covilha, CD Feirense and Rio Ave.
In Israel, he becomes the second Ugandan to play there following in the foot steps of former KCCA FC skipper Timothy Awany who plays for FC Ashdod.
Hapoel Kfar Saba were promoted to the Israel top tier last season and are currently second from the bottom on a 14 teams log with 14 points garnered in 17 games.
