Kyetume FC vs KCCA FC

Tuesday, 28-01-2020 @4:30pm
KCCA FC will be hoping to maintain pressure on leaders Vipers SC when they take on Kyetume FC on Tuesday.
The Kasasiros sit four points behind the Venoms and know there is no room for any slip ups if they are to maintain their push for a third successive Uganda Premier League (UPL) title.
In their last game, they scrapped past Tooro United FC 1-0 at Lugogo to return to winning ways as they had lost to Bright Stars FC prior.
Mike Mutebi’s side also did beat CATIDA 2-0 in the Uganda Cup this past week and will surely have a winning touch.
With Allan Okello departing and Mustafa Kizza returning, the transfer sagas at the club have now been sorted and they can concentrate on playing football on the pitch.
Speaking ahead of the game, KCCA FC head coach Mike Mutebi anticipates a tricky encounter but he is hopeful his side will walk away with victory.
“We will approach the game like we approach any other, noted Mutebi.
“We face a side that is struggling in terms of position but are very good. They have very good experienced players who will surely give us issues.
“However, i m sure my players know what to do and will get the job done.”
Saddam Juma has resumed training with the first team at KCCA FC. The midfielder returns from a six month lay off due to a niggling knee injury. His timely return gives Mike Mutebi creativity options in the midfield and will have to jostle for a spot on the team with Gift Ali, Kasozi Nicholas, Muzamiru Mutyaba, and teenagers Steven Sserwadda and Kafumbe Joseph.
Kyetume are struggling immensely at the moment and are moving closer to a return to the second tier with each passing game week.
The Slaughters who appointed Jackson Mayanja as head coach at the end of last year are yet to win a game in the second round, losing twice and drawing the other.
Their last league game saw them lose 1-0 to Police a game that must have left them gutted as they conceded the goal deep into injury time.
They did beay up on Sansiro last week in the Uganda Cup and they will hope they can take that momentum into the UPL on Tuesday.
